Housed in a former 17th-century Franciscan convent, the Almodôvar Cultural Forum is today an important cultural and heritage space in the town. The building includes the Tourist Office, exhibition areas, an auditorium and a restaurant located in the former convent refectory.
Inside the church, highlights include the gilded woodcarving from the late 17th and early 18th centuries, the pipe organ restored in 2016/2017, the main chapel altarpieces and the ceiling paintings dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
On the upper floor is the exhibition gallery, a space for regular cultural programming, installed in the former convent dormitory, later adapted into the Town Hall and public services offices. The complex preserves the historical memory of the building while maintaining an atmosphere of silence, contemplation and cultural identity. The convent has been classified as a Monument of Public Interest since 1993.
