Designated as platform B, in this place we can observe 3 streets from the 2nd century B.C. from the Roman Period.
Right now we are in the 1st Street, which is between two residential blocks. Here - similar to what still exists in many old urban areas - the houses had large stones on the corners to protect them from the carts that drove through the narrow streets.
These streets were often remodelled and here was found a Stele with Southwestern writing. This important cultural trace from the 1st Iron Age was brought from an unknown location by the Romans, being one of the most important finds thanks to the preserved text extension which makes it up - and which can be seen in the Museu da Escrita do Sudoeste (Southwester Writing Museum) in Almodôvar.
In the period of imperial Rome the street's layout changed, already reflecting the decline of this settlement, which would lead to its abandonment in the 2nd century AD, consequence of the creation of the Roman province of Lusitania and the foundation of new towns and access routes far from here.
