Welcome to the Manuel Vicente Guerreiro Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum!
In this space - founded by the stubbornness and tenacity of the man who gave it its name - we invite you to take a trip through memories materialised in more than 1,300 pieces! All this wealth is complemented with the archaeological exhibition of the finds of Mesas do Castelinho. You have to visit it!
Still about the museum, a curiosity: most of these pieces were donated by local inhabitants and depict scenarios of rural activity such as harvesting, beekeeping, cork production and grazing. Here you can also find memories of the village's essence, like the blacksmith's forge, the farmer’s workshop, the grocer's shop - next to the tavern, known as “venda”. But there's more! - The weaving mill, the school, the barber shop, the people's house and the replica of the Alentejo-style house, where the kitchen with the typical chimney and the medronho still stand out.
Explore each of these spaces, discovering more of the pride of our identity!
